I bought little plastic silver award cups from the dollar store (4/$1.00). (This is just an example from the internet, the plastic cups were about 3 inches tall and cheap quality, but did the job!)
Then I printed out the graphics below and glued them to the award cups. I hot glue gunned the cups to a cut circle of PVC pipe and gave neckerchief slides to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners and the "Turtle" award for the slowest.
We bought "Amazing" candy bars and attached the graphic below to a candy bar. Each boy got a certificate and an "Amazing" candy bar treat just for participating.
