Recipe - Mint Brownies

I tried this recipe out the other day and it was yummy!

Part A

1 stick softened margarine (I used butter)

4 eggs

1 cup flour

1/8 tsp. peppermint flavoring

1 cup sugar

1 lb. can Hershey Syrup

Mix all ingredients together. Place in cookie sheet with sides. Bake at 350 degree for 20 minutes. Refrigerate to cool.

Part B

6 Tbsp. margarine (or butter)

3 cups powdered sugar

green food coloring

3 Tbsp. cream (or milk)

1/4 tsp. peppermint flavoring

Whip these ingredients up until fluffy. Spread on cooled baked mixture and refrigerate again.

Part C

1 pkg. milk chocolate chips

4 Tbsp. shortening

Mix and melt togetehr and spread over green frosting. This part was a pain so next time I plan to just spread chocolate frosting on the top instead.

SHORT CUT

You can totally cheat on this recipe by using a brownie mix and baking as directed. Use a tub of vanilla frosting, tint it green and add mint extract. Use milk chocolate frosting on the top layer.

I kept my brownies refrigerated but you don't have to.

Brownies should definitely be one of the four primary food groups!
